Judyta Cichocka – founder of codeofspace

Judyta is a passionate researcher and entrepreneur in the field of structural art. Her main focus lies in Computational Intelligence methods applied in structural and architectural design. She aspires to be a structural artist.

She holds PhD in architectural engineering from Wroclaw University of Technology and Science and MEng in Structural Design and Mechanics from MIT. She was a MIT nominee to the SOM STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING RESEARCH GRANT (2019) and recipient of the MIT Art Grant (2019).

Prior to joining MIT Judyta was running a Berlin-based start-up: Parametric Support. She tutored on parametric design at Victoria University of Wellington, Universitat der Kunste in Berlin & at the most renown conferences on computational design such as: Advances of Architectural Geometry 2014 and 2016, CAADRIA 2017 in China or IASS 2017 in Hamburg. 

Currently she is working as a design and optimization specialist in Saule Technologies developing structures with integrated elastic photovoltaics and experiments with digital art on blockchain.
